honeyplan.terms of use
Terms of use
- Effective
These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use Honeyplan. We kept them as plain as the subject allows. Please read them, together with the privacy policy, before you start.
The short version
- The deal
- You get a shared ledger for two. You keep ownership of what you write in it. We keep it running and keep it private.
- Not a bank
- Honeyplan doesn’t hold or move money and isn’t financial advice. The numbers are the ones you enter.
- Premium
- Billed by Apple or Google, renews until you cancel in the store, and covers both of you while the subscriber stays in the couple.
- Leaving
- Leave the couple or delete your account whenever you want. Your partner keeps the shared space.
- Your rights as a consumer
- Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
Who we are and this agreement
Honeyplan is provided by FABIO VF VANESSA BERGER TERAPEUTA LTDA, CNPJ 53.535.234/0001-08, Rua Samuel Heusi, 586, Sala 01, Centro, Itajaí/SC, CEP 88301-320, Brazil (“Honeyplan”, “we”, “us”).
By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Honeyplan. The privacy policy explains how we handle personal data and is part of this agreement.
Who can use Honeyplan
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You may have one account, for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You sign in with Apple, Google, or a one-time code sent to your email. Keep access to that account or email secure; anything done from your account is your responsibility unless it happened because of our fault. Tell us at security@honeyplan.app if you think someone else has accessed it.
The shared space
Honeyplan connects two accounts in one shared space through an invite code. Once your partner joins, they can see and edit what is in the shared space, and so can you. A special date marked only-me is visible only to the person who created it.
- Only invite someone you want to share this information with. Each invite code works once.
- Either of you can leave the couple at any time. The person who leaves loses access to the shared space; the other keeps it, including what the person who left created there.
- If the last person leaves, the shared space and everything in it is deleted.
- Don’t add information about other people unless you have the right to do so.
Honeyplan is not a bank or an adviser
Honeyplan is a record-keeping tool. It does not hold, move or transfer money, does not connect to bank accounts, and does not process payments between you and your partner. “Settle up” records that a payment happened; it doesn’t make one.
Balances, splits, summaries and reports are calculated from what you and your partner enter or import, and are only as accurate as that information. They are for your own organisation and are not financial, tax, investment or legal advice. Check important figures before relying on them.
Premium subscriptions
Honeyplan is free to use within the limits of the free plan. Premium removes those limits and adds features, as described in the app before you buy. Current plans are monthly and yearly.
Payment and renewal
- Premium is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). The price, currency and billing period are shown in the app before you confirm.
- Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. The renewal charge is made within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in your store account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- If we offer a free trial or introductory price, its terms are shown before you start it. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- If we change the price, Apple or Google will tell you in advance and, where the rules require it, ask you to agree to the new price.
One subscription for the couple
A subscription belongs to the account that bought it. While that person is in a couple, Premium applies to the whole couple. If the subscriber leaves the couple, Premium goes with them. If Premium ends, nothing is deleted; the free plan’s limits apply to new items.
Refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, so refund requests go to them, under their policies (for Apple, reportaproblem.apple.com; for Google, the Google Play order history). If you have trouble, write to support@honeyplan.app and we will help.
Deleting the app or your Honeyplan account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the store first.
Your content
What you and your partner put in Honeyplan (transactions, sheets, notes, dates, photos) is yours. You give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store, copy, process and display that content only to provide the service to you and your partner, for as long as it is in Honeyplan. We don’t use it for advertising, we don’t sell it, and we don’t claim ownership of it.
You can export a sheet or a month at any time. We recommend keeping your own copy of anything you can’t afford to lose.
Acceptable use
When you use Honeyplan, don’t:
- break the law, or use the app to harass, threaten, monitor or control another person;
- upload content that is illegal, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- try to access accounts, couples or data that aren’t yours, or probe, scan or test our systems’ security without our permission (responsible disclosure to security@honeyplan.app is welcome);
- disrupt or overload the service, or access it by automated means other than the app;
- copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows it regardless of this restriction.
Our service
We work to keep Honeyplan available and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may improve, change or remove features. If a change significantly reduces what you pay for, we will tell you in advance, and you can cancel.
Some features rely on others: sign-in on Apple and Google, purchases on the App Store and Google Play, and nearby places in the date roulette on OpenStreetMap data (© OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License). Their own terms apply to those services.
Honeyplan, its name, logo and design are ours. These terms don’t give you any rights to them other than using the app.
Ending this agreement
You can stop using Honeyplan and delete your account at any time, as explained on the account deletion page.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or when the law requires it. Unless the law or safety prevents it, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to respond and to export your data. If we ever stop offering Honeyplan, we will tell you at least 30 days ahead so you can export your data, and refund any unused prepaid period where the law requires.
Responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including under the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code (Lei nº 8.078/1990) or the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
Subject to that, Honeyplan is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions you make based on figures in the app, for content added by your partner, for losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control, or for indirect losses such as lost profits. Where the law allows us to cap our liability, it is limited to the amount you paid us for Premium in the 12 months before the event.
If you got the app from the App Store
These additional terms apply if you downloaded Honeyplan from Apple’s App Store:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
- Your licence to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store’s usage rules.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims about the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and handling any claim that the app infringes someone’s intellectual property.
- You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. If you are a consumer, you can bring a claim in the courts of the place where you live, and you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence. Otherwise, the courts of Itajaí/SC have jurisdiction.
Before going to court, please write to legal@honeyplan.app. Most problems are solved faster that way. Consumers in Brazil may also use consumidor.gov.br.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Honeyplan changes or the law requires. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Honeyplan and delete your account before then; continuing to use it after the date means you accept the new terms.
